Complex commercial exposures with either severe hazards or unique exposures to loss often require the use of specialty insurers. We maintain several relationships with specialty markets referred to as "wholesale insurance houses" or "surplus lines brokers.” When dealing with these specialists, we make certain their corporate offices have a Security Committee to carefully analyze the financial position of every underwriting company to be certain they meet strict standards. Lloyds of London is an example of this type of specialty market.
